The unique folding mechanism of the Varifold 3 blade propeller works seamlessly in service. To cushion the blades of the original Varifold model are small rubber buffer pads mounted in the hub. These often overlooked items reduce impact loads as the blades open and extend the life of the gear mechanism of the blades. This buffer pad fits the 3 blade varifold VF-108 (old style).
