The unique folding mechanism of the Varifold propeller works seamlessly in service for reliable thrust when you need it. To cushion the blades as they open are small hub-mounted buffer pads. The buffer pad reduces impact loads as the blades open and extends the life of the gear mechanism of the blades. This buffer pad fits the 2 blade varifold VF-70 (new style) and is machined from marine grade nylon.
