The unique folding mechanism of the Varifold folding propeller works seamlessly in service. To cushion the blades as they unfold are small hub-mounted buffer pads. These often overlooked items reduce impact loads as the blades open and extend the life of the gear mechanism of the blades. This buffer pad fits the 2 blade Varifold VF-70 (old style) and is a self adhesive rubber pad.
